Valuation and Risk Management

The Valuation and Risk Management (VRM) Affinity Group of the NCAnet will provide a space for communication between organizations whose missions include valuation, economics, and risk management. These organizations may be national or international with goals and programs that are local, regional, or tribal-specific. The groups will have a stake in the inclusion of issues including: monetary valuation assessments, uncertainty, valuation of qualitative effects, and risk analysis in the National Climate Assessment.

Its purposes are to:

1. Provide the opportunity for NCAnet members with an economic or risk-related focus to exchange ideas, discuss, consider, plan and act collectively in support of the National Climate Assessment and the NCAnet.

2. Provide the National Climate Assessment with relevant information regarding the work being done with these varied economic and risk-related efforts.

3. Inform the National Climate Assessment of relevant unmet knowledge needs of members of the participating organizations.
